Clinton emails: FBI ignores US justice department not to inform Congress of new Clinton email inquiry.

October 30, 2016

Just two weeks before the American Presidential election scheduled for the 8th November 2016, the FBI under the directorship of James Comey, has stunned Mrs Clinton and her supporters by independently briefing United States lawmakers in an open letter, sent out last Friday.

An obviously angry Mrs Clinton after hearing about the letter has said that the move by Mr Comey was "unprecedented" and "deeply troubling".

Mrs Clinton is not alone in her anger, leading Democratic senators have demanded, in a letter sent to both Mr Comey and Attorney General Loretta Lynch demanding that they provide them more explicit details of the investigation no later than this coming Monday, arguing that the FBI is using the investigation just for political gain.

Is the FBI attempting to rig the outcome of the upcoming Presidential election? It would appear that the American Justice department feels it is possible when they stated in no uncertain terms that the “move by Mr Comey “would be inconsistent with rules designed to avoid the appearance of interference in an election”.

What does Mr Donald Trump think? Obviously he is delighted, as can be seen when he praised the FBI's decision, stating "The Department of Justice is trying their hardest to protect the criminal activity of Hillary Clinton”.

Will this latest scandal hurt Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election? We will have wait until the results flow in on the 8th November.
