Scenes of incredible violence have broken out in supermarkets throughout France, after a French supermarket chain, “Intermarché” slashed prices of one of Frances favorite nutty spreads “Nutella”.
The scene which greeted police when they arrived at one of the supermarkets can only be described as chaotic idiocy. One survivor said, “They are like animals. A woman had her hair pulled, an elderly lady took a box on her head and another had a bloody hand,” while a member of staff was quoted as saying “We were trying to get in between the customers but they were pushing us,” adding all our stock was sold in minutes.
What is Nutella: For those of you who do not know it is a sweet chocolaty hazelnut spread? Made by the Ferrero Company since the 1940s and is sold in at least 160 countries, with sales of approximately 365 kilos every year.
