The attack that required an Israeli response is an attack allegedly carried out by Hamas, who fired rockets into the town of Mishmeret on Monday morning, the furthest target within Israel Hamas has managed to target before. In this attack, medical services alleged that seven people were wounded in the attack, including two women and five others an infant, a three-year-old boy and a twelve-year-old girl. Hamas denies the assault.
Meanwhile, over in the United States, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who was attending a ceremony with the US President Donald Trump, said the attack carried out by Hamas was quite clearly "wanton aggression".
Authors note: At the ceremony attended by both the Israeli Premier and the American President a proclamation was signed by both attendees recognising Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights, which they captured back in 1967 from Syria.
